Tano South MP dines with Bechem Presec students

Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, Member of Parliament (MP) for Tano South who doubles as Deputy Regional Minister for Ahafo, on Friday paid a surprise visit to  Presbyterian Senior High School (SHS) in Bechem and joined the students at the dining hall and had lunch with them.

He explained the gesture was for him to have a taste of the kind of food given to the students after the implementation of the free SHS policy by the government and to also interact with the students and other stakeholders.

“My visit was to help me get acquainted with challenges affecting the school as a result of the implementation of the policy and also to get first hand information on the kind of food given to the students”, he added.

Mr Yeboah Sekyere addressing the media after the visit noted that his office would continue to pursue the interest of the vulnerable in Tano South Municipality for an improvement in their well-being through any form of assistance that he could offer.

The deputy regional minister gave assurance he would continue to work to prioritize the needs of students in the municipality to help accelerate the pace of education in the municipality.

He urged the students to study hard to climb up the education ladder since the government was determined to continue supporting them so they could also help  initiate more developmental projects in future.
