Headmasters of Sunyani Senior High (SUSEC), Michael Nsiah Agyapong and Gordon Osei Marfo of Twene Amanfo Senior High and Technical (TASTEC) have indicated the readiness of their institutions to end the double track system this year.
They stated that their schools are now endowed with infrastructural facilities to facilitate teaching and learning unlike the previous years when they could not accommodate all students under the free SHS policy due to inadequate infrastructure.
They said their institutions are now equipped to end the double track in 2021 and have attained a unified system again because of the availability of infrastructure to support their intake.
They however commended the NPP government led by President Akufo Addo for the free SHS policy and other initiatives that have helped to improve the quality of education in the country.
The school heads made the statement when the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh commissioned new classroom blocks in their institutions.
